Texas A&M: Texas A&M is coming off a conference-opening win over Nebraska at home. The Aggies have been in and out of the rankings this season. They feature nonconference victories over Clemson and Minnesota. Former Wichita State coach Mark Turgeon has had to deal with the loss of one of his starters, Derrick Roland, to a gruesome leg injury, but the Aggies have bounced back well with three straight wins since he went down.
Kansas State: The Wildcats say the incident involving coach Frank Martin and guard Chris Merriewether during the second half of Saturday's loss to Missouri is behind them. "We're moving forward," said Merriewether, who Martin made physical contact with at Missouri. "We're focusing on Texas A&M. I feel like I've said everything I need to say about it." Martin said he will continue to coach the same way he always has. "I am who I am," he said. "I've been coaching for 26 years. I'm not going to wake up tomorrow and say 'OK I'm going to change completely.' I am who I am. I'm going to rant. I'm going to scream. I'm going to stomp my foot. It's what I do."
