Eight overtime points by Mark Vaughn helped Salina Central defeat Maize 61-58 in an Ark Valley-Chisholm Trail League Division I boys game on Tuesday night at Maize.
J.C Sturgeon hit two of Maize's three fourth-quarter three-pointers, then followed Ryan Hall's game-tying basket by knocking away a Salina Central shot to end regulation.
Vaughn finished with a game-high 22 points. Maize (1-5, 1-4) was led by Sturgeon's 24 points.
Andale 62, Clearwater 57 — Hunter Knoblauch scored 13 points and Ben Seiler had 12 as Andale won a Division IV game at Clearwater. John Becker had 26 points and Colin Frickey 12 for Clearwater.
Andover Central 48, Andover 43 — Cole Kretchmar scored 21 points for host Central, which used a 20-point second quarter to take control. Robert Peare led Andover with 13.
Arkansas City 39, Valley Center 34 — Justin Spencer scored eight of his nine total game points in the fourth quarter as the Bulldogs came from behind and outscored the Hornets 18-10 in the final quarter. David Boxman had 17 points for Ark City to lead both teams.
Augusta 70, El Dorado 58 — Brandt Patterson had 24 points and Alex Clausing had 21 as visiting Augusta pulled away in the second half after trailing by eight at halftime. Travis House had 25 points to lead the host Wildcats.
Buhler 70, Rose Hill 41 — Brandon Givens led unbeaten Buhler with 25 points, 14 points in the second half. Kyle Anderson had 14 points and Luke Wilson 11 for host Rose Hill.
Goddard Eisenhower 54, Campus 38 — Zach Bush scored 32 points, 12 in the final period, for Eisenhower. Jordan Sparks had 38 for visiting Campus
Maize South 53, Circle 50, OT — The host Mavericks got two free throws in the final seconds to secure the overtime victory. Micah Kiser had 18 points to lead Maize South, while Brett Barney had 14 Wes Phillips had 11. Caleb Kirkpatrick had 13 and Adam Ronnebaum 12 for Circle, which rallied in the fourth quarter to force overtime.
Collegiate 56, Wellington 31 — Riley Kemmer had 19 points and Trace Clark 13 for visiting Collegiate, which was under control with a 31-15 halftime lead, followed by an 18-2 third quarter.
Derby 64, Newton 42 — Josiah Ray scored 19 points and Kyler Steadman had 14 as Derby rolled at home. Newton's Jenson Kingsley had 14 poitns and Shelby Grosch 12.

Trinity Academy 51, Belle Plaine 39 _ Trinity outscored Belle Plaine 16-5 in the fourth quarter to secure the win. Ryan Miller and Wilson Alexander paced the Knights with 14 and 10 points, while Tyler Jantz added 14 for visiting Belle Plaine.
Garden Plain 52, Cheney 48 — The visiting Owls held off Cheney in a game where no player hit double figures. The Cardinals rallied with 22 fourth-quarter points in a losing effort.
