The top-seeded Oxford girls held on for a 51-49 victory in their Class 2A quarterfinal matchup against Meade on Thursday at Manhattan's Bramlage Coliseum.
Oxford (21-3) led 26-17 at halftime, before Meade used a fourth-quarter rally to cut the deficit.
Melissa Swanson's 17 points led Oxford, which made its first state appearance in 26 years. The Wildcats hadn't won a game at state since capturing the 2A title in 1981.
Oxford will meet Ell-Saline in the first semifinal today.
The other semifinal pits Moundridge and Jayhawk-Linn.
Moundridge tripped up Republic County 33-24 on Thursday.
Led by Taylor Schrag's 16 points, Moundridge held Republic County scoreless in the first quarter.
A perennial championship contender in the 1990s and early 2000s, Moundridge won its first tournament game since the 2003 championship.
