Big 12 women preseason poll

The Kansas women received three first-place votes and tied with Texas for second in a poll of the league's coaches.

Four starters return from last season's KU team that went 22-14 and lost in the WNIT final. Senior Danielle McCray was recently chosen preseason Big 12 player of the year by the coaches.

Kansas State was eighth in the poll. Ashley Sweat and Kari Kincaid top seven players who return from last season's team that went 25-8 and reached the NCAA Tournament.
