Dodgers place Rodriguez on DL

Los Angeles, CA (SportsNetwork.com) - The Los Angeles Dodgers placed left- handed pitcher Paco Rodriguez on the 15-day disabled list Tuesday with a Teres Major strain in his left shoulder.

The move is retroactive to August 4.

Rodriguez has made 13 relief appearances with a 4.35 earned run average for the Dodgers this season, providing scoreless outings in 10 of his 13 appearances.

The Dodgers also recalled right-handed pitcher Pedro Baez from Triple-A Albuquerque.

Baez made his major-league debut on May 5 and appeared in two games for the Dodgers this season.
