Andover’s Jaylyn Agnew, who will be a senior, has made an oral commitment to play basketball at Creighton. She averaged 14.3 points last season as she helped lead the Trojans to a 16-6 record.

Agnew is also a standout volleyball and track athlete who has won three straight Class 5A high jump championships.

She’s not the only girls basketball player from the Wichita-area to make a commitment to a Division I basketball program since the 2013-14 season ended.

Maize’s Daley Handy, who will be a senior, made an oral commitment to play at Wyoming. South’s Ericka Mattingly has made an oral commitment to play at Wichita State, while teammate Kendrian Elliott has done the same at Kansas State. Mattingly and Elliott are juniors.
