Goaltender Ian Keserich, who was 0-3 this season, was waived today by the Wichita Thunder.
The team signed defenseman Mike Looby to take the roster spot.
Keserich had a 4.03 goals-against average and an .840 save percentage. His departure leaves forward Bobby Hughes as the only player with the club during the 2009-10 season.
"There's some other teams out there in need of goaltending right now," Thunder coach Kevin McClelland said in a statement. "I'm all about helping these guys find jobs, and with three good goaltenders on our team, I felt this move gives Ian a fair chance to continue his career."
Looby scored nine goals and had 38 points for the CHL's Laredo Bucks last season.
