MANHATTAN — The Kansas State basketball team will take part in ESPN's third annual College Hoops Tip-Off Marathon on Nov. 16 when it hosts Virginia Tech at 3 p.m.
The Wildcats and Hokies will be one of 12 live games in 24 consecutive hours of ESPN coverage. The marathon will start at 11 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 15 with Miami playing Memphis and conclude the next day when South Carolina takes on Michigan State at 9 p.m.
Virginia Tech returns all but two players from last year's team that posted a 25-9 record and advanced to the NIT.
"This is going to be yet another difficult opponent on our nonconference schedule," coach Frank Martin said in a statement. "Virginia Tech is a veteran ballclub with one of the elite guards in the country in Malcolm Delaney. It's going to be important for our fans to again make Bramlage Coliseum a difficult place to play."
