Wichita State's women's basketball team released the signing of four high school players today.
Guard Krystle Henderson (5-foot-5) of Dallas Skyline, center Shannika Bryant (6-4) of St. Joseph High in Chicago, forward Kelsey Jacobs (5-11) of Fortuna (Calif.) High and guard BreAnna Dawkins (5-6) of Dallas Cedar Hill will join the Shockers for the 2010-11 season.
"I really like how unique our class is," Adams said. "We are bringing in a true point guard in Krystle, and a true center in Shannika, and that was something we weren't able to do with last year's class."
Henderson averaged 16.2 points and 2.8 assists as a junior. She was named an All-Class 5A selection by the Texas Girls Coaches Association. Jacobs averaged 14 points and 12 rebounds as a junior. Bryant averaged 10 points and 7.7 rebounds last season. No statistics were available for Dawkins, who played for a team that went 25-7 last season.
