Q: Jeff, Nice to see you back answering questions. Missed you. I've never been a big college baseball fan, so I won't pretend to be now, but what value can KSU get out of their recent success in the college baseball world? Also. . .did you see any of this mess coming with Ron Prince?

Answered 06/03/09 11:37:03 by Jeffrey Martin

A: I think Brad Hill has done a wonderful job. I think the baseball program is in fine hands and, at the very least, should be worthy of more coverage in the immediate future from us. As for Prince, well, nothing was ever what it seemed with the former K-State coach.

Q: It would be beyond unbelievable if Chris Harper isn't on campus this fall. His skills fit exactly what HCBS desires in a QB.....running, ball handling, more than average throwing ability, game intelligence.......A more than adequate 'scout' team guy in 2009, right?

Answered 06/03/09 11:32:40 by Jeffrey Martin

A: No doubt.

Q: Who is the the most famous BU alumnus.....Jeffrey Martin or Howard Stern.......IF I asked this question to 100 male, Kansas State season ticket holders, living in Wichita, and over the age of 60?

Answered 05/28/09 10:27:25 by Jeffrey Martin

A: Howard Stern. But it's closer than you think.

Q: Why don't you shave?

Answered 05/19/09 16:32:51 by Jeffrey Martin

A: My mother is wondering the same...

Q: Sound familiar? Oh, please, just stick a dagger in our hearts!!

Answered 05/19/09 16:32:28 by Jeffrey Martin

A: At least this guy has a legitimate track record - he raised major funds at Tennessee.

Q: If they got rid of 35,000 seats and concentrated the remaining 15,000 along one sideline, do you think The Bill would approach the awesomeness of legendary Nickerson Field?

Answered 05/19/09 16:31:39 by Jeffrey Martin

A: Yes.

Q: Hey J-Mart Were you at KSU's spring game? I know you can only reach so many conclusions considering how watered down the whole thing is, BUT...what were your feelings on the new-look defense? I'm really curious about it.

Answered 05/19/09 16:31:11 by Jeffrey Martin

A: I think there is potential for the defense. It has to be better than last year's 117th ranked unit, doesn't it? Seriously, I love the additions of Vic Koenning and Chris Cosh. Actual teachers... Imagine that.

Q: Where did yo go? Nobody has ask a question since March 20th?

Answered 05/19/09 16:29:50 by Jeffrey Martin

A: I'm still here.

Q: Hello - If Boston University resurrected its football team, which was sadly dropped in 1996, would it have a chance against Kansas State at legendary Nickerson Field?

Answered 03/20/09 20:04:11 by Jeffrey Martin

A: Yes.

Q: Did you know Chris Harper Has more relatives in town? Maybe you can hunt them down to continue your perverse recruiting of Chris for K-State. He and the Brown Bros would only make a bad team a little better, not good enough as you will see in 2010 when Oregon lays its on the Kitties.

Answered 03/10/09 09:57:25 by Jeffrey Martin

A: Shouldn't I have a title? How about "junior recruiting coordinator"? Yep, you're on to me. I've been recruiting for K-State. Now, when Bryce doesn't go to K-State and Chris doesn't transfer, it'll be all my fault for not closing the deal. It's official - now I've heard it all.

Q: What has been the verdict from the coaching staff on Curtis Kelly from seeing him work in practice? Will he be able to come in next year and produce at a similar level to what Jamar Samuels has brought to the table this year, or provide more quality depth behind Ron Anderson?

Answered 03/10/09 09:55:19 by Jeffrey Martin

A: Oh, I think Frank is expecting more from him than "depth." He's a skilled 6-foot-9 forward who can shoot it from 15 feet or so. I think he's going to help the Wildcats.

Q: Assuming he's still alive (I don't recall hearing anything to the contrary), shouldn't former AD and Mr. K-State, Ernie Barrett, be on the AD selection committee? Seems only right.

Answered 03/10/09 09:54:08 by Jeffrey Martin

A: You're not really putting any stock in this selection committee, are you? C'mon.

Q: Jeff, Okay, you can ignore my previous missive. The KSU loss to OSU probably puts them in the NIT, though I'm not ready to give up completely. BUT, I refuse to whine should the 'Cats end up in the NIT. I think there are a lot of pluses. 1. More games for a young team to gain needed experience. 2. A chance to experience playing MSG, and 3. A trip to the Big Apple for you. I know you're an East Coast guy at heart and I share your love for all thing New York. It was my stomping grounds for 20 years. Besides, I think it would be classy for KSU fans to suck it up and congratulate Coach Martin and this team for exceeding almost everyone's expectations this year.

Answered 03/10/09 09:53:36 by Jeffrey Martin

A: As always, well said.

Q: Which school do you expect Bryce Brown to choose?

Answered 03/10/09 09:53:10 by Jeffrey Martin

A: Tennessee.

Q: With the football staff now complete with the yet to be announced addition of Michael Smith, I must say that I was looking for more of an upgrade and some fresh blood. I would have liked to see us get Billy Gonzo from Florida, Reese Morgan from Iowa, or Reggie Mitchell from Illinois. All are top notch recruiters. Is that asking too much?

Answered 03/10/09 09:52:55 by Jeffrey Martin

A: Probably, yeah. I mean, we knew Bill was going to bring back some of his guys. He's loyal. But why not breathe a little and let this play out?
