If you have a need to blast ex-President Carter, at least get your facts straight. The 1970s inflation began during Richard Nixon's second term and continued through Gerald Ford's one term. It wasn't until Carter appointed Paul Volcker to head up the Federal Reserve, in the late 1970s, that inflation was finally brought under control. Also, gas lines were the result of the OPEC oil embargo in 1973, when Nixon was still in office.

Is Sarah Palin qualified to be president? Not really, but neither were any of the other Republican candidates except perhaps Mitt Romney. Republicans do not need to be qualified — because the lobbyists and corporations will continue to do their job for them, tell them what to think, how to vote, etc. Is this what Republicans send their representatives to Washington for?
