I'd bet at least half the people complaining about the possibility of the tanker deal going to an American-European company are driving cars made by Japanese-American or Korean-American companies.

You never saw "tea parties" when George W. Bush was in office for eight years, but in the past 11 months there have been enough tea parties to last eight years. I'm pretty sure President Obama has blown his chances of being re-elected.

These tea parties are great entertainment. They're like a political "One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest."

If a "tea party" is at 1 p.m. on a Wednesday, it must be a party for the unemployed.

Whoever is in charge of getting entertainment for the new arena must be the biggest country music lover around. Everyone was taxed for the arena. Bring something for us all.

People are complaining about all the country music stars booked at the new arena. At least you will be able to understand what they are singing, unlike the rap stars.

What's the deal with Sedgwick County Commissioner Karl Peterjohn? Now that he is part of the establishment, he votes to spend our money. He must be drinking the Kool-Aid. Now he is one of them.

Thanks for the commentary by Deb Gruver about adopting a special-needs dog. There are a lot of good dogs that just need a little love and attention.

"President Bush never whined about the media because he controlled it"? There should be a minimum IQ to be able to own a computer or call a newspaper with an opinion. But I guess if that were the case, you wouldn't be reading this right now.
