For those not old enough to remember, the Russians threw everything they had at the Afghans and couldn’t beat them. Do we think we are smarter than the Russians? I personally don’t, but that’s beside the point.

Thank you, Virginia, for handing the Democrats a tremendous defeat on Tuesday. This is the first shot across the bow of the Democrats and their radical agenda to reshape America. What a difference a year makes.

Fox News had more than 4æmillion viewers for its Tuesday night election coverage, while the other three cable news channels had fewer than 3æmillion combined. I guess the majority of viewers just wanted to hear hate speech.

Our backwater legislators who want Kansas to opt out of the health care reform plan will make sure that those of us who have to choose between keeping a roof over our heads and buying insurance still won’t be able to afford insurance. Thanks, legislators.

I love reading the Opinion Line when I get to school in the morning. The opinions, as well as the comments posted online, always give my government class some interesting discussion topics.
