Opinion Line Extra (Nov. 4)

Do all Republicans make fun of the Obama children, or is it only a select few bullies in their bunch? It takes a very small person to have to mock a child to make yourself feel important.

The Middle East has been at war for years. What makes you think talking is going to make any difference? Bombs don't seem to be scaring anyone either. Let them have at one another and the United States stay out of it. We have no influence over them. It would save hundreds of our troops' lives.

We already have death panels. They are the boards of directors of the health insurance companies.

Regarding the cost of the health care reform bill, just remember: Figures don't lie; liars figure.

It's laughable to think that conservative Republicans are now saying George W. Bush was too liberal. Weren't these the same people who were cheering Bush for eight years while he was being liberal with taxpayer money and giving it to Republicans?

When I consider the callousness toward the suffering of the masses by capitalists, socialism looks more and more interesting.

Why would our Air Force even think of allowing a foreign country to bid on building our tanker? No better plane has ever been built than the 767. Keep John McCain out of the decision — he caused our downfall the first time.

I heard on the news that Gov. Mark Parkinson was going to cut some different programs in Kansas. Is that so he can pay for his vacation in Asia?

The Kansas Lottery Commission would pick a casino developer in less than 10 minutes if it were in Wichita. What a dog and pony show this has turned into for the voters in Sumner County and Kansas.

If it's the law when driving to have your headlights on when your windshield wipers are on, why aren't the Wichita police giving tickets to drivers of cars that don't have their lights on but are using their wipers?

I would like to thank the lady who paid my bill for my medication at Walmart last week.
