Of all the companies and their subsidiaries that received government bailout funds, how many continue to move jobs out of the United States? In a broad sense, is that not a form of treason?

Of course Fox News has a conservative bias. That's what "fair and balanced" means: "fair," as in the only conservative voice in the mainstream media, and "balanced," as in balancing out the liberal voices everywhere else. If you think differently, you are fooling yourself.

I was shocked to learn that there are folks out there who believe Fox News is fair and unbiased. However, I realized there are folks who believe Santa Claus and the Tooth Fairy are real, too.

Walmart wants you from cradle to grave now ("Walmart begins selling caskets on Web site," Oct. 29 Eagle). It needs to leave the funeral business to those who know what they are doing — the funeral homes.

Maybe Walmart will start embalming, too. You could drop your loved one off and shop until they call your name.

So the Intrust Bank Arena scored an NCAA women's basketball tournament. Finally, an event that won't cause a huge parking problem.

It looks like the downtown arena is booking some really big acts for the first few shows — almost as good as the ones in the grandstand at the Kansas State Fair.

OK, folks. More than 22,000 concealed-carry handgun permits have been issued in Kansas with not one single problem from a permit holder. Can you please start taking down those ridiculous no-guns signs now?

Suzanne Perez Tobias has written another excellent column about parenting ("'Cops': Crime, punishment, right to remain silent," Oct. 29 WichiTalk). She writes about choices, really. My children have been raised for years, but I still enjoy reading her levelheaded and nonjudgmental approach to life.

Here's an idea for all you busy moms and dads: Try to find a way to dispose of dirty diapers that doesn't involve tossing them out the car window.

Solve the jail overcrowding problem by outsourcing all inmates to China. The Chinese can take care of them for a fraction of what it costs us. Plus, it would be an excellent deterrent to crime.
