Forbes online shared a few facts regarding results of the Brownback economic policy: 8,400 nonfarm jobs added in October; Kansans’ earnings up 3.3 percent in a year; unemployment rate down to 4.4 percent. Although some still see supply-side theory as voodoo, I say bring on the witch doctors.
Asking local businessmen what’s wrong with Gov. Sam Brownback’s budget is like asking the fox to fix the henhouse so the chickens don’t keep disappearing.

Kansas Legislature: Stop stealing money from the highway fund, which is funded by law with dedicated funds such as gas tax, sales tax, etc. If you want me to obey laws, then you need to obey the laws you created.
Because of all the contradictory evidence in the Ferguson case, there is no way the grand jury could have indicted Darren Wilson “beyond a reasonable doubt.” If he had been equipped with a body camera, the conversation would be over.
If Wilson hadn’t shot Michael Brown when he did, the officer would be dead now. It’s that simple.
So, Wilson has a clean conscience after shooting an unarmed teenager. I submit that he has no conscience.
The only unarmed man is a man with no arms, and he can kick or bite or head-butt you to death.
I seldom agree with columnist Cal Thomas, but he got it correct when he stated those responsible for the Ferguson damage should be made to pay for repairs or be punished in some way (Dec. 3 Opinion).
When Al Sharpton was at the White House Monday for the Ferguson meeting, why didn’t Obama march him down to the IRS so he could pay his $4.5 million in back taxes?
President Obama: I agree. Let’s equip all police officers with body cameras. I suggest we also equip all politicians with lie detectors.
I don’t see the point in the police wearing cameras when, as in the case of Michael Brown, the truth doesn’t matter.
What do oil fracking and 1950s rock ’n’ roll have in common? A whole lotta shakin’ goin’ on.
