A Wednesday headline should have read, “Kansas Attorney General Derek Schmidt exonerates Hillary Clinton in e-mail scandal.”
We wish Schmidt would refocus his energy and resources on prosecuting the criminals who telephone us numerous times every day trying to scam us or sell us something. Virtually all of these calls are clear violations of the do-not-call law.
Never miss a local story.
Everyone I know cheered the Baltimore mom who smacked her kid around when she caught him joining the riot. An “expert” recently said in The Eagle that if this is done in anger or leaves a mark, it’s child abuse. I’d like to see her tell that to that mom.
Here we go again, as Brownback promotes another economic perversion to please his benefactors and oppress the working class: consumption bad, productivity good. Really? Can one exist for long without the other? Tax LLCs and eliminate the food tax.
If the U.S. Supreme Court OKs same-sex marriage, you might as well quit singing “God Bless America,” because it isn’t going to happen. What a tragic and disgusting day that will be for America.
I thought lettering in high school meant the individual receiving the award showed superior athletic skill and ability in playing their particular sport. Apparently the Wichita school board deems it nothing more than a participation award for special-needs students.
The real minimum wage is zero. If you don’t make more money for your employer than he is paying you, you will cease being employed. Of course, that is for the private sector. All bets are off for government workers.
The beginning of the end for loss of jobs in Wichita was the Boeing divestiture. Then general aviation took the Obama hit. After that Boeing reneged on doing the tanker work here, and Spirit AeroSystems has let go long-term people to solve its financial problems. Now we have many unemployed and underemployed.
I believe Hillary Clinton would stand up for the poor and middle class even if she’s wealthy. When was the last time you saw a poor man stand up for us and be listened to? The poor man could never finance a presidential campaign. Go, Hillary!
I will always remember who was president during the time our country went flat.
It is difficult, often heartbreaking, to lose something we held dear. So it is with me when I consider the loss of the America I knew as a child.
Some Californians are exchanging real lawns for fake grass. Should go well with their fake faces, boobs and, yes, bottoms. Now that’s real progress.
