Well-informed, well-organized and well-mobilized voters are more powerful than all the money Wall Street and Big Money are willing to spend to buy elections. Vote in your best interest.
Harry Reid referred to Republican presidential candidates as “losers.” Interesting. I can think of a couple of terms to refer to the peerless and intrepid senator, but The Eagle won’t print them.
It is disheartening to see our politicians quake in their shoes at the mention of Americans for Prosperity or Grover Norquist but turn a deaf ear to their constituents’ desires.
Why is it that when the president changes something by executive order, he’s “overreaching,” but when Gov. Sam Brownback does exactly the same thing he’s a hero? Yes, the issues may be different, but the strategy is the same.

Black versus white, Republican versus Democrat, gay versus straight, Christians versus Muslims, rich versus poor. Divided we fall, remember?
Why is it that in every industry except building fighters for the government, you give your customer a price and are forced to stick to it? It’s a crime against taxpayers to have to pay for these F-35 strike fighter overruns.
In Wichita, a husband says he accidentally shot and killed his wife. In Cleveland a 3-year-old does the same to his 1-year-old brother. I miss the good old days when only the bad guys had guns.
I remember when the NRA said Bill Clinton was going to come to your house and take your guns. Then it said Barack Obama was going to take your guns. Now it says Hillary Clinton is going to take your guns. It’s funny that people keep falling for this nonsense.
Joyland was a victim of a gun.
It’s hilarious to see the willful stupidity of those who oppose the Second Amendment. It doesn’t say you can only have guns if you’re a militia member. It says militias are necessary to the security of a free state, and militias are made up of armed citizens.
It’s not easy to work at a fast-food place, but no one will be able to afford to go there if the minimum wage is $15 hourly. People with college degrees don’t always make that much, especially at first.
It’s obvious that Starbucks customers are not smart enough not to block traffic. Why not locate stores away from busy intersections?
