How dumb do you have to be to put elephants ahead of boys? Take the $5.3 million the zoo wants and reopen the Judge Riddel Boys Ranch. Kids are more valuable than animals.
Instead of sticking $5.3 million into an elephant exhibit, perhaps the county should use that money to find jobs for people who can’t afford to go to the zoo.
How many members of the Kansas Supreme Court Nominating Commission have extremely twisted arms?
We should be copying Texas’ tax model, which is for less tax on corporations and individuals. This creates less revenue, smaller bureaucracy and less waste. This creates a model for job growth and new businesses, balancing the revenue generated to the state. So I choose Sam Brownback for governor.
If Brownback’s telephone pollsters are truly interested in my opinion, I would advise them to drop the biased, incendiary remarks allegedly said by his opponents. That way, my momma won’t be mad at me for slamming down the phone.
Thank you, 10th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals, for questioning the lawfulness of Kris Kobach’s radical, suppressive voter-ID agenda. It seems the judges, unlike Kobach, are putting the law above politics. Maybe there’s hope yet.
Perry Schuckman is a community organizer running for the 4th Congressional District on a platform of social justice. Boy – that sounds familiar. Obama isn’t popular in Wichita, so I suspect Schuckman will get the same reception.
Presidents Clinton and George W. Bush are teaming up to create an initiative to help leaders with problem solving. I hope President Obama is their first participant. He needs it desperately.
Our world would be a much more peaceful place if it had many more people like Nelson Mandela, Pope Francis and President Obama.
Republicans have tagged the Affordable Care Act on Obama by calling it Obamacare. Democrats should do the same with the recession we are still recovering from, and call it the “Bush recession.”
Why aren’t women arrested for child endangerment immediately after giving birth if they smoked or used illegal drugs while pregnant?
