An 18-year-old killed by police in Ottawa, Kan., is a “man.” An 18-year-old killed by police in Ferguson, Mo., is a “teen.” Can you say “media bias”?

Another unarmed 18-year-old gunned down by police. Where are the Revs. Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton? The rioting and looting? Front-page headlines? Obama and the attorney general? Oh, that’s right – the victim was white.

Sharpton can be described in one word – phony.

Parents absolutely should teach their children to not trust the police, because police across the nation have proved themselves untrustworthy. But being disrespectful to police in an encounter is just stupid. Only a fool fights the police on the spot; you will lose every time. Fight them in court.

Too many black children are raised to distrust police. The police know this and reciprocate in kind. That is why a request to get out of the street, which should have been met with “Sure, Officer,” and a hasty move to the sidewalk, resulted in an 18-year-old’s death.

Obama’s henchmen jumped in early in Ferguson to build a civil rights case against the officer in the shooting. The feds aren’t going to let the locals handle it and exonerate the officer, as Florida did with George Zimmerman.

Obama’s policies are just like his golf swing – an ugly sight.

Columnist Charles Krauthammer should author a book consisting of his repetitious weekly columns. An appropriate title would be, “My Life’s Work of Trashing Barack Obama.”

Two neocon self-righteous columnists, both Israel partisans and economics and foreign affairs pseudo experts, are too many for one paper.

Since ISIS claims to be a state, not just a movement, anyone who takes up arms under its banner should be considered to have renounced his American citizenship and be a foreign national as far as this country is concerned.

A tamale at a Houston airport was found to have 7 ounces of cocaine in it. Talk about a hot tamale.

I wonder if there are just too many people on our little blue planet.

On Monday gas was $3.06 per gallon and $3.26 per gallon in Wichita. Why the difference?

First it’s Viagra. Then it’s Cialis. Now it’s open carry.

I read the headline “Chairs are killing us, scientists say.” I have chairs! In my house! Then I read that sitting is the new smoking. Not taking any chances, I decided to go right back to bed.

Rest in peace, Marbles (“Zoo’s chimpanzee Marbles dies at age 44,” Aug. 25 Local & State). You will be missed by many.
