Would someone explain to me how shooting off millions of wasted dollars on fireworks on July 4 is patriotic? All fireworks are made in China, which gets a big boost to its economy.
Every free American should take time to recognize the sacrifices made by others, whether it was in World War I, World War II, Korea, Vietnam. Iraq or Afghanistan. Brave people put themselves in harm’s way, selflessly. We owe each of them boundless gratitude.
I support the Hobby Lobby decision. Contrary to the lies spread by some of the media, Hobby Lobby does pay for certain types of birth control. The owners objected to paying for those agents that are deemed to induce abortions. They should have the freedom of religion to do this.
Silly me – I wondered how Kansas got on the road to bankruptcy. Then a reader explained it to me.: “It’s Obama’s fault!”
Obama to Americans: “To heck with the Constitution. Let’s get it done!”
It is now official: Jimmy Carter can rejoice. Barack Obama has now been voted the worst president since World War II in a poll by Quinnipiac University.
We are all bickering while our gas prices skyrocket, we may go back to Iraq and many other things. Wake up. Quit fighting with your neighbor and use this effort to keep our government in check. The art of war says divide and conquer.
Watching the Bill Ayers interview on Fox News, it was evident we now know where President Obama learned the art of lying.
I would like to know why the House and Senate would take a recess after working three days a week. Man, give me that job.
Whac-A-Mole is getting a bad rap. I think people would like the way I play it. I use a baseball bat and Democratic bobbleheads instead of the arcade game.
The Republican establishment’s high jinks in the Mississippi senatorial primary campaign for Thad Cochran and against a conservative challenger will mean the end of the Republican Party as we know it.
It doesn’t surprise most people that Rep. Mike Pompeo and former Rep. Todd Tiahrt will speak, not debate, at an invitation-only forum. The “I’m more conservative than you” crowd will root for either. Neither can brag about any positive accomplishments done for our 4th District.
At a candidate forum in Newton, state Rep. Marc Rhoades described himself as a Reagan Republican. I wonder if he knows that Reagan presided over multiple tax increases and ran up the biggest deficit in U.S. history. It took Democrat Bill Clinton to get our fiscal house in order.
Do away with Democrat and Republican party affiliations. It’s time we go back to electing civic-minded people who will serve the people of this nation and not an organized party. Our political representatives should be dedicated to we the people.
