Cost of time, energy and effort to clean up damage to property and wildlife by free-roaming cats: immeasurable. Cost of irritation, frustration and total exasperation toward irresponsible pet owners: incomparable. Cost of finally attaining peace of mind by resorting to animal traps: priceless.
The NRA rant that “the only way to stop a bad guy with a gun is with a good guy with a gun” sadly proved fatal for the shooting victim exercising his conceal-carry rights in Las Vegas.
Pat Roberts is a true conservative just like he is a true Kansas resident.
It appears that the practice of the government giving bonuses to employees has been the source of problems in the both the VA and recently the IRS. Maybe it is time to reconsider bonus programs.
Those who defended the Dole VA hospital in Wichita should feel pretty dumb and embarrassed now that it’s been proved that facility has done the same things that are reportedly happening in Phoenix, and more than likely at every VA facility.
VA patients are motivated to make appointments because they need documentation when they apply for service-connected disabilities. I doubt one VA patient would want to go to a civilian doctor. Civilian doctors would not tolerate frequent appointments just for the heck of it.
Dick Cheney complains the army sergeant left his post. Why did Cheney fail to fill his post five times? Because he was a coward.
What kind of president would release five American-hating criminals who could potentially harm millions of Americans, never mind our military overseas? This is outrageous.
Obama should be impeached for the recent prisoner exchange involving Sgt. Bowe Bergdahl. He is emptying Guantanamo under the guise of prisoner exchanges and is not notifying Congress. Obama ignores the law. He is a wolf in sheep’s clothing and should not be president.
Many thanks to columnist Charles Krauthammer for setting the record straight that countries all over the world, including Israel, negotiate with terrorists to get their soldiers back and give their leaders latitude to make the call (June 7 Opinion). If Bergdahl is a traitor, try him. But bring him back.
I would do all I could to try to release my son from those terrorists. But I am looking at the big picture of the lives lost trying to rescue Bergdahl. Let us see his day in court. Let us see what those terrorists do with their freedom. Thanks again, Obama.
So the Clintons were broke when they entered the White House and when they left the White House? Sounds like bad money management to me.
Looks like Kansas is going to hit that $1 billion revenue shortfall ahead of schedule. Way to go, Governor and Legislature.
If the city needs to create more jobs, then why would it want to raise the sales tax?
