As with nearly all harebrained liberal policies, affirmative action hurts those it was supposed to help. Plus, it’s flat-out, government-sanctioned racial discrimination. It’s probably the stupidest of all liberal schemes, and that’s saying a lot.
I wonder how white people will feel about affirmative action when they are in the minority 10 years from now.
If you treat your employees fairly, unions never enter the picture.
Obama is a man of many words, none of which means anything.
We wish all you guys on the right would quit acting like someone kicked you out of the clubhouse, because that’s not the case. You’re just not in charge anymore. Try a little patience, dudes.
Please publish the names of the states that are in Gov. Sam Brownback’s health care compact. We are planning to move out of Kansas and need to know which states to avoid.
It’s time for us seniors and schoolteachers to band together and toss out our right-wing legislators and governor (purchased by big-money backers) and take our state back.
I don’t think Brownback wants to be re-elected.
I took out an ACA-approved family policy. Now we need a procedure to test for a malignancy, but – surprise – It isn’t covered. I spent all we had on premiums, or we could have paid for it instead of canceling. My family’s health is now at risk, because of Obamacare.
I love the smell of burnt prairie in the morning. I wonder when the EPA will slap some penalties on Wichita for violations because of it.
Anyone who smokes while pregnant or around a small child should be charged with child endangerment.
Regarding “Gay, Christian author seeks a dialogue” (April 22 Eagle): The lengths that some people will go to excuse their sin are nothing like the length God went to redeem them from it.
The logic of the homosexual movement, its rational justification, is simply not in the Bible. One can no more use the Bible to legitimize homosexual relationships than to legitimize adultery.
I bet the government was behind Heartbleed.
Hey, I like columnist Cal Thomas. I hope The Eagle never drops him.
The fast and furious backpedaling being done by Fox News over the Cliven Bundy story could be the next Olympic event.
