It’s astonishing and disheartening that some people are foolish enough to take the myth of “Noah” and the ark so seriously that they object to the “artistic license” in the movie. How is it possible to inaccurately depict the events in what is essentially a fairy tale?
Dwight Eisenhower said he considered Pennsylvania to be his home, not Kansas. So why are we naming the Wichita airport for a Pennsylvanian?
Call me “Captain Obvious,” but shouldn’t the airport have been named after Amelia Earhart?
We can save a lot of time and money by not having a Kansas Legislature at all. Why not just have ALEC write the bills and send them to the governor to sign into law? That’s what’s happening anyway.
The more I watch the activities of our government in Topeka, the more I am reminded of Lord Acton’s observation, “Power tends to corrupt and absolute power corrupts absolutely.”
What? No due process for teachers? Enough already. Gather up your birth certificate, marriage license, divorce decree, proof of address and two other forms of acceptable ID and vote the rascals out.
It’s funny reading the comments of people who think the lawmakers in Topeka are overreaching. Have they not been paying attention to this at the federal level?
The Legislature squeezed in the elimination of teacher due process at the last second, which will make it possible for good teachers to be fired for no reason. It is sure to draw a lawsuit. Thanks, Koch boys.
The Koch brothers have been unfairly criticized by Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, who is representing the Obama regime. We know President Obama has never had a job that was other than supported by the government, which of course gets all of its money from taxpaying businesses such as the Koch Industries.
Colorado has pot and Kansas has guns. Between the two, tourism should flourish.
People used to say, “Go live in Russia or China if you hate America so much.” Well, I say: Go live in California or New York if you hate Wichita and Kansas so much, and don’t let the door hit you on the way out.
Methinks the unionization of big-time college sports will put the final nail in the coffin of so-called amateur collegiate sports.
If you allow your dog to bark on an early Saturday morning when I get to sleep in, don’t complain if I put a noisy muffler on my car so you can be awakened every other morning.
Rob Lowe says there’s an unbelievable bias and prejudice against good-looking people. Boy, do I feel his pain. Ha.
How absolutely shameful that the passing of Mickey Rooney is barely mentioned by the “news” but they report ad nauseam for weeks and months about the so-called celebrities who kill themselves with dope.
