Suzanne Perez Tobias’ “bandwagon” column was is right-on (Feb. 27 WichiTalk). Fair-weather friends are not appreciated by loyal fans of sports teams any more than regular weekly attendees of churches – who worship and pay the bills all year long – appreciate folks who only show up at Christmas and Easter.
I am so tired of the Shocker fans putting down KU. Both teams are from Kansas and won’t meet each other unless it is during March Madness. Just because your motto is “Play Angry,” you don’t have to be so angry. Both teams are great.
With Creighton gone from the MVC, WSU will finally have a chance to win the MVC tournament that Creighton has dominated. Good luck.
Does anyone else think when listening to Doug Gottlieb trash the Shockers that it’s like listening to an endlessly barking Chihuahua?
I’m a secret Democrat registered as an undercover Republican. I changed to the GOP a few years back so I could vote against Wink Hartman in the congressional primary. I will now vote against Gov. Sam Brownback in the primary and then vote for Paul Davis in the election.

I wonder how many of the pre-Obamacare uninsured would have obtained health insurance if they had been threatened with a penalty by the IRS back then.
The Democrats and our president are under the impression that one cable news network, Fox News, offsets the six or seven cable and network channels that shill for them daily. That must be one heck of a cable news network. Let’s all congratulate Fox News for being the great equalizer.
I just made a trip to Wellington to pay $850 sales tax on a 12-year-old pickup. Now I know why there are so many beaters on the road in Sumner County. Then I had to go around two huge potholes to go half a block to the credit union.
