Opinion Line Extra (Feb. 20)

Unemployment and jobs are the major concern of most Americans, and Obama is still forcing his global warming down our throats.

Unemployment and jobs are the major concern of most Americans, and Obama is still forcing his global warming down our throats.

I always laugh when I read that “97 percent of climate scientists agree,” as if they polled every climate scientist on the planet. It’s 97 percent of the climate scientists they talked to who agreed. And do you suppose they went out of their way to question too many scientists who saw things differently?

Democrats will never willingly get rid of the cancer that is Obamacare: For more than 70 years, they’ve been salivating for this. Why would they abandon anything that helps them maintain their death grip on power?

The U.S. Postal Service and the Obama regime are two models of United States efficiency that should be remembered forever.

Isn’t it ironic how many people are more concerned about their Internet security than they are about their nation’s security?

Why does the Opinion Line have so much Obama bashing? Three reasons: Our president tries to help people who are less wealthy, he is for equality and justice for gays, and he is black.

One doesn’t have to agree with someone else’s lifestyle, but this pathetic discrimination bill that just passed the Legislature is the most hateful thing that could have happened to this otherwise wonderful state of Kansas.

My child attending law school in Kansas asked: “Dad, why would I practice law here when our House representative advocates passage of a pro-discrimination bill like HB 2453?” Because there is no rational answer for that, upon graduation another Kansas honors scholar plans to leave for a state with less ignorant lawmakers.

Kansas House Speaker Ray Merrick said, “I don’t sit here day after day after day going through bills that we passed and all the mistakes in them.” Well, maybe he should.

An editorial and letter in Monday’s Eagle brought an epiphany. As a practitioner of pastafarianism, I can raise $65,000 and buy a Kansas law requiring raw pasta be served at all weddings.

We, the taxpayers, should just give all the poor people and all the gays $1 million each and call it good.

How did a word meaning “happy” and “carefree” become associated with homosexuals? Doesn’t make any sense at all.

Yes, you do have a right to your opinion. What you do not have a right to is to run or ruin other people’s lives.

Why don’t we build a dam at the end of the Big Ditch and capture lots of water?

Meryl Davis and Charlie White won the gold medal for ice dancing. They are poetry in motion and incredible to watch. Congratulations on a job very well done.

There are people out there who stink a lot worse than people who smoke cigarettes. Before you complain about stink, how about you pigs take a bath?
