Here’s how to redesign the proposed Dwight Eisenhower National Memorial and please everyone: Make it look just like an airport.
Do they still deliver e-mails on holidays? I didn’t receive any e-mails on Martin Luther King Jr. Day.
It appears the people who don’t get flu shots, don’t use seat belts and don’t wear motorcycle helmets are the same people who think they will win millions if they “invest” $100 in the lottery.
If someone in Colorado can be fired for a positive drug test indicating marijuana, why can’t employers in Kansas mandate that employees abstain from alcohol outside the workplace? Having it “in your system” and actually being high are two different things. Legal is legal; live and let live.
Do you have to have money to run for governor?
“Americans for Prosperity”? More like “Billionaires for Their Own Prosperity,” created and paid for by billionaires to misinform voting working people. Don’t be fooled by the loudest voice in the room. They just have more money and political pull for advertising.
What makes KU chancellor Bernadette Gray-Little think that having parents who can’t afford to send a child to college is a “black” issue? My very-white daughter has the same story, except she missed out on some scholarships because she isn’t a minority. Stop making economic issues all about “race.”
I can understand having a dorm for the athletes of a college, but having a dorm for the basketball teams seems wrong.
Apparently Mother Nature can do what 50 percent of U.S. citizens can’t or won’t – shut down the federal government.
It’s really sad when one can buy gas on the turnpike cheaper than one can buy it in town.
I was surprised by the comment that Charles Krauthammer is “dishonest, uninformed and ignorant.” I often fact-check Opinion page columns and never find fact errors in his. Davis Merritt, on the other hand, repeatedly portrays his opinions as fact and should be required to state, “In my opinion….”
It was no surprise that Merritt attacked Robert Gates’ damning revelations (Jan. 21 Opinion). All of the radical left wants the administration to continue to operate in the secrecy that shrouds Benghazi, IRS, NSA, etc.
