I don’t know whether to use my “60 cents a day” to help the children, pets, wildlife, poor, pay my Obamacare tax or – probably the best choice and one that will solve a lot of problems at once – contribute to anyone running for office against a Democrat.

Blaming responsible breeders for dogs and cats in shelters is like blaming parents of university students for crack babies.

The interactive poverty simulation done by the teachers at Allen Elementary appears to be an activity that would benefit the Kansas legislators in understanding the effects of their actions on those Kansans living in poverty.

Kris Kobach should get a Nobel Prize. He has invented a cure for which there was no disease.

The city needs open space on McLean Boulevard, not apartments. I frequently drive McLean from Pawnee to 21st Street and enjoy the river, with nothing cluttering the view but nature. If the city wants to improve our downtown, it can start with that hole on Douglas. Good for convention business, huh?

Changing the name of Wichita Mid-Continent Airport seems unnecessary. Why spend the money? When people talk about the airport, they call it just that, “the airport.” If something needs to be renamed, just name the new terminal.

It is a shame that the Wichita B-52 soccer team is not getting more publicity, because the team includes many area players. The games have been very exciting. If Wichita can support a minor league baseball team, why not an indoor soccer team? It isn’t that far to Hartman Arena.

Let me guess: The Eagle picked the five comic strips that people voted as the most hated.

“WuMo”? I thought the creators must be some kind of idiots after reading it a couple of days. I have changed my mind. They have to be really smart to be able to sell this garbage.

I find it amazing that whoever is in charge of The Eagle’s comics has made the decision to drop “Get Fuzzy” and add five utterly inane and borderline idiotic ones. I hope this can be corrected.

Someone asked, “Does Opie’s rock ever hit the water?” Watch “The Andy Griffith Show” on KSAS, Channel 24, at 9 a.m. weekdays and you will see that Opie hits the water with the rock.
