If Obamacare is the death of liberalism, then the tea party will be the death of conservatism. Maybe the rest of us will meet in the middle and have a functional government.

Disneyland’s opening day in 1955 is known in park lore as “Black Sunday” because of the mishaps that occurred, including a gas leak and broken rides. People predicted the park would close within months. Give Obamacare a chance to fix itself, and it will be another Disney.

I think we have created another oxymoron – Obamacare.

It’s amazing that those who think we can’t afford doctors, hospitals and medication think we can afford doctors, hospitals and medication plus a government bureaucracy to administer them.

Sorry, Oprah – it’s not the color of the president’s skin that makes me disrespect him. There are a lot of African-Americans who would make better presidents than the current one, including Condoleezza Rice, Ben Carson, Herman Cain, Allen West and David Webb.

When politicians, without even flinching, tell us they are passing bills without reading them, it is crystal clear that they no longer care what the people think.

People said the New Deal and Social Security would destroy this country. Now it’s Obamacare. Why is it only Democrat presidents who come out with new ways to help the regular people in this country instead of the rich? Come on, Republicans, do something besides start wars.

The Affordable Care Act has never been about affordable health care. It’s always been about the middle class funding health insurance for the poor. Of course the premiums and deductibles are going up and the coverage decreasing. What did you expect? Free health care for everyone?

Gov. Sam Brownback leading discussions on Kansas school finance is like the man in the moon leading discussions on Earth global warming. Brownback led willing Kansas legislators into financial disaster by cutting taxes for the rich and businesses while leaving school districts without funds to provide suitable public education.

Businesses demand excellent financial information in making their financial decisions but refuse to give quality financial information to consumers so we can make excellent financial decisions as we buy products and services.

It’s amazing how many so-called patriotic Americans throw cigarette butts out their car windows.

To the person who found my hard-backed library book at Mid-Continent Airport and did not turn it in to lost and found: I wish you bad karma for at least a year.
