The NRA’s primary goal is to frighten us into buying more guns. It’s working, as it makes gun manufacturers and sellers rich at our expense while our lawmakers have become well-endowed puppets of the NRA.
President Obama apologized for the disastrous rollout of Obamacare. He vowed to fix it. We will know if he moves to delay it, that the apology was sincere. If he does not move to delay, he was not.
In the infamous words of Oliver Hardy to Stan Laurel: “Well, here’s another nice mess you’ve gotten me into.” I wonder if these are the same feelings Jay Carney has for Barack Obama.
Liberal Democrats on Obamacare: “We’re smarter than you. We know what’s best for you. Shut up and eat your spinach.”
It’s odd seeing people get worked up about the ACA outlawing terrible plans. If you can’t keep your current plan, it’s because your plan is no good and you’re being scammed.
With the current success of Obamacare, I can’t wait for these clowns to give us immigration reform. U.S. citizens will probably lose their language. English will be barred from use because it won’t meet White House standards.
I would like to publicly apologize for my cousin. He is a member of the tea party. On behalf of the family, we’re sorry.
Wichita wants to be known as the Air Capital. So why name the airport after a dead president who had nothing to do with aviation? What a slam to Swallow, Cessna, Beech, Bombardier (Learjet), even Boeing (which is leaving).
Why in the world change the airport’s name? Wichita leaders: You are smarter than this. Please at least take it to a vote before any decisions are made.
So the proposed new name is too long? What’s so long about “IkePort”?
If they do change the name of the airport to Eisenhower (which I fully support), they also need to change the airport designator from ICT to IKE. They did it for JFK, and Ike is just as important.
If people elsewhere recognize the name “Wichita,” they usually associate it with aviation and flying. Changing the name of the airport will lose this recognition, since using both Wichita and Eisenhower would be long and cumbersome name. Continue to use Wichita and phase out the “Mid-Continent” over time.
What is the matter with the city? Are you so ashamed of the present name of the airport that you feel the need to change it? You should be proud enough to leave it as it is. It is too bad that we cannot add “international” to the name.
