The KCC should change its name to the Westar Corporation Commission. If rate hikes continue as they have, it won’t be too long before everyone’s paycheck will need to be direct-deposited to Westar.
I find it a bit ironic that we experienced a power outage the same day Westar Energy’s rate-hike settlement was announced.

Can someone explain what Muslim terrorists think they accomplish with their acts?
The terrorist attack in Kenya is horrifying. Decent people must wonder what kind of people could do such a thing. But what needs to be understood is how intelligent, decent, kind, religious, caring people can come to believe that doing something they know is horrifying is nevertheless their duty.
