Instead of publishing huge photos of student athletes as though they should be worshipped, why not profile people in our community who really make a difference? What are The Eagle’s values?
Opinion Line readers realize just how serious a problem Wichita has with the lack of traffic law enforcement. What is it going to take to wake up our city officials and the Police Department?
The term “cop” as a name for a policeman is not really a term of disrespect. It is short for “constable on patrol” and originated in England many years ago to describe the man and his job.
The slang term “cop” is not insulting to the police. Even cops call each other cops. It was a nickname originally from Britain but popularized in the U.S. at the beginning of the 20th century because police uniforms had copper buttons and badges.

President Obama wanted to fundamentally wanted to change our country. He has. We are broke. No one respects us. We have to pay Russia to get us into space. The rest of the world is laughing at us.
Why wasn’t Obama upset about our ambassador being murdered in Benghazi? But he is upset about the gassing of the Syrian people. Something isn’t right with this picture.
Our president turns out to also be the flimflam man.
Run, Hillary, run.

As far as I know, the only place you cannot take a dog is into a grocery store. Perhaps you are out running errands or visiting. Would it be preferable to leave the dog in a hot car? Then somebody would complain to Opinion Line about that.
Why isn’t it child abuse and endangerment for a so-called adult to allow a minor child to get their body mutilated with a tattoo or piercings? I know for a fact that it is considered poor parenting.
