Why is it than when a Republican espouses a pro-life position it is a war on women, but when a Democrat “sexts” lewd pictures to women he is a mayoral candidate?
The Democratic sex scandal involving Anthony Weiner is drawing the ire of the Clintons. Not because it is wrong but they are afraid that it might make them look bad. In politics that is known as selective outrage.
Maybe this cold front will work its way up to New York City. Hopefully it’s cold enough to make Weiner shrink from the spotlight.
Wichita looks more and more like Detroit every day, and with our current city leaders’ guidance we will eventually be in the same financial state.
Isn’t it amazing how Wichita and Sedgwick County can have a record amount of rainfall, yet Cheney Reservoir is still 4 feet low and more than a foot lower than a year ago? Punitive water rates are still needed to curb usage and raise awareness.
It’s raining, but should I still water my lawn? I have to figure which penalty is worse, using too much water or too little water. Either way, the city is going to nail me.
Our government must do more to help initiate solid-wage jobs and careers for heads of households to make it to the middle class. They do not belong in the lower-wage, dead-end, part-time jobs that should be for teens getting their first experience in the job world.
Why does Cox, in its commercials, think that it is funny to portray the head of the household as an idiot? I guess the commercials are prepared by idiots.
NASCAR is the soccer of the redneck feebleminded. Just behind baseball.
You old-timers recall the days when you were in trouble at home if you got into trouble at school. My, how times have changed. Parents of younger children need to wake up and learn parenting skills. Do your kids a favor.
On westbound Second Street, we can see for several blocks that there is a bicyclist in the right lane. I back off so you can get your car over into the center lane. What do you do? You stay in the right lane and hug the white line between you and the car way ahead of me. How considerate.
I can’t tell what’s worse between the two-stair stepper and the slow tractor driver. Personally, I like to do back flips up the stairs, but people are always in my way. At the same time, I feel entitled to inconvenience the person helping to put food on the table, too.
I don’t understand why there are people who read this newspaper who feel it is even necessary to talk about using stairs. Get over it. There are more important things in life.
