Does anyone believe that if the minimum wage is abolished, employers will pay workers a livable wage out of the goodness of their hearts? No minimum wage will only mean working for less money while those at the top of the corporate pile get even richer.
If conditions are so much better in certain other countries, as the Koch ad suggests, why is the U.S still the most sought-after place in the world to immigrate to?
When it comes to Koch Industries, people in Wichita sure have a lot of wealth envy.
People who complain about the Kochs just can’t stand anyone being more successful than they are. It is pure jealousy. Think of all the good jobs the Kochs provide.
The Riverside Park wildlife exhibit should be shut down. Most of those enclosures are too small, especially the one for the bobcat. It is inhumane.
The media see 12,000 Kansans with voter registrations in suspense as potentially disenfranchised. I see them as potentially fraudulent voters. Legal voters will present documentation before the next election. Fraudsters won’t.
A president is supposed to calm our nation during a time of turmoil and unrest, urging us to let the judicial system do its job. From President Obama’s speech on Friday, it is obvious that he is intent on fanning the flames of hate and racism.
So those on the Obama-hating radical right think they understand race issues better than a black president? Give me a break. They are the race baiters trying to appeal to the only constituency they have left: prejudiced white men.
One lesson to take from the Zimmerman-Martin episode: Neighborhood watch volunteers should patrol in teams. Had there been at least one other person with George Zimmerman, Trayvon Martin’s brutal assault probably could have been stopped without killing him.
Zimmerman stalked Martin. Martin stood his ground. Zimmerman shot Martin. Zimmerman is innocent?
Why is it that when the media publish a picture that misrepresents the appearance of the Boston bomber, they draw outrage, but when the media repeatedly show pictures of a darling 12-year-old Trayvon Martin, they draw none?
Is the armadillo migration northward a sign of climate change?
To the two-stair stepper who wants people to speed up: Pardon me for being 84.
