Ending the Defense of Marriage Act was a blessing for conservatives. Now, when there’s extreme weather, they can say it’s the wrath of God instead of climate change.
A man who beats his wife regularly is more of an assault on the traditional institution of marriage than two guys getting hitched. Odd how the Defense of Marriage Act never addressed domestic abuse.
Let there be no doubt that divorce is a deliberate and conscious assault on religion and all traditional values.
Being married never solved anyone’s problems. Instead, it created them.

The article on the Andale family (June 29 Eagle) and their harvest experience was so beautiful and refreshing that I was inspired beyond belief. That is the type of family that we should all emulate. May they be richly blessed.
A neighbor purchased fireworks for all the neighborhood children and even shot them with my 5-year-old. I can’t thank her enough for this act of kindness, as I wasn’t able to purchase any this year.
Congratulations to Suzanne Perez Tobias for her column on volunteers (July 4 Wichi-Talk). It’s refreshing to see good people and their deeds featured. We need more of this type of news.
