It is the aim of terrorists to strike fear in our hearts and minds. What they do not realize is that we will never, ever fear cowards.
Take action. Don’t just think about it. Volunteer. Participate in disaster drills. Know what to do if tragedy happens wherever you are.
I wonder what YouTube video President Obama will blame for this latest terrorist attack.
Obama said that “any responsible individuals, any responsible groups, will feel the full weight of justice.” Just like his resolute response to the murderous attack on our Benghazi consulate.
If I have my logic right, the NRA and conservatives will now defend the right to make bombs because “bombs don’t kill people; people kill people.”
How do you tell a 4-year-old that collecting 10,000 points for bombing someone in a video game is OK, but the Boston bombings are not? Perhaps the video games should go.
When politicians say, “This is commonsense legislation,” they mean, “Ignore this as we strip your rights.”
The current legislative push is only to reduce the rights of citizens to keep and bear arms. It has nothing to do with “curbing gun violence.” I wish the media would stop saying that.
So the argument with gun owners is that we shouldn’t punish the honest gun owners by making all gun sales subject to background checks. Then we shouldn’t burden all poor folks with more regulations of food stamps just because there are some cheaters.
It is interesting that the Legislature knows more about breast cancer and its relationship with abortion than the medical community does.
We heard more in two days about Tiger Woods’ error on the golf course than about the doctor in Pennsylvania who allegedly killed babies after his abortions went wrong. How bad are we getting? We will have some explaining to do in the hereafter.
Did you ever notice that you can judge shoppers’ intelligence by the distance they leave their shopping carts from the cart storage rack? If they don’t have enough smarts to return the carts properly, they probably don’t have enough to be shopping in the first place.
Blessing and praise to the Wichita firefighters. On Easter evening there was a fire in my apartment complex. They came speedily and were very quick to get it out and make sure everyone was OK.
