Rather than arm the teachers in our schools, wouldn’t it be more effective to put a school resource officer in each school? We had more SROs until we decided that tax money was more important than the safety of our students.

It is great that Kansas allows assault weapons and mega-clips. If switchblades and stilettos are going to be legal, I would like hand grenades to be included. I am vision-impaired, and this would help level the playing field.

I would like to send a big “thanks” to the man in the little red truck who helped me when my car quit on MacArthur Road.

Wouldn’t it be great if just a fraction of the money spent on basketball in the past month had been spent on actually educating people?
