The North Korean fearless leader can continue to blather away. But he knows the day he does something stupidly provocative will be his last day in power.
I think it’s crazy that the struggling poor in this state have to continue to subsidize airline tickets for the lucky few who fly out of Wichita Mid-Continent Airport.
I heard a smart man say we need more committed people involved in our government. I believe that more people involved in our government should be committed.
I know there are no more bathtub races during the Wichita River Festival, but maybe we can have riding lawn-mower races. That way people can decorate their lawn mowers and mow the river in one fell swoop.
If we don’t have water, no one is coming to Wichita to do anything. Start digging out Cheney Reservoir before it’s too late.
I saw that Wichita City Council member James Clendenin checked out a new Wichita Transit bus (March 28 Local & State). Seems like an opportunity for him to reduce his ongoing collection of moving violation tickets.
Shame on Kansans if we let the National Rifle Association deny and bury the lessons from Newtown, Conn.
I wonder why the NRA has never pointed out that every school shooting, every movie theater shooting, every political speech that ended with gunfire, every murder, every armed robbery, every hostage situation really wasn’t a crime. It actually was just someone wanting to exercise his Second Amendment rights.
No rational person can deny the senseless tragedy of Sandy Hook. The conscious failure of the Justice Department and Homeland Security Department to prosecute and uphold the laws on the books is a shame. The president’s stage props are tiring, and the real shame is that he was re-elected.
I really don’t like going to my doctor for a physical. I’m afraid she’ll find something wrong – that I can’t afford to pay for.
We were promised annual savings of $2,500 per family with Obamacare. Instead, insurance costs have increased by double digits every year. We face another 20 to 100 percent increase next year. It’s time to end the Obamacare experiment.
Isn’t it ironic that people fighting the “bullying” issue do not seem to care when Christians are being bullied?
The more I read about Pope Francis, the more I like him. He is setting a wonderful example for all of us, whether or not we are Catholic.
