For agreement over the Middle East to occur, common assumptions must first be agreed to.
Let me understand this correctly. Due to budget constraints, we’re closing airport control towers around the country, resulting in risk to the lives of American taxpayers, while at the same time sending $60 million to the Muslim Brotherhood, an organization dedicated to killing Americans. Wow, it makes you proud.
See, Shocker Nation, basketball and football are much more exciting than academics. Maybe we should try for a successful baseball program next.
When Wichita State or KU is playing in the NCAA championship, what will Gov. Sam Brownback bet against the governor from the opposing team’s state? A ton of fresh manure from the Topeka administration and Legislature would best represent Kansas.
I have been a Kansas Republican for 60-plus years. The only reason I haven’t changed my affiliation is so I can vote against the likes of Todd Tiahrt, Pat Roberts and Mike Pompeo in the primaries as well as the general elections.
Don’t think the idea of taking money from the highway fund for the general fund is a good idea. That’s what federal politicians have done to the Social Security funds for years. Now look at the shape the Social Security funds are in.

If gays are allowed to marry, then it is just a short walk in flawed logic before someone wants to marry his dog or his car or his favorite flower.
Whether I had a gay kid or not, it would be a cold day in hell when I would look to congressmen, the least-respected people in the nation, for opinions on same-sex marriage. The Republican ones, could, however, advise on dumping your wife for a mistress, or maybe gay sex in airport bathrooms.
“North Dakota lawmakers moved Friday to outlaw abortion in the state by passing a bill defining life as starting at conception.” Under this law, every woman should be able to purchase life insurance for her fetus on the day of conception. Should a woman miscarry in, say, the ninth week, a proper burial with all the pomp and circumstance should be available as well.
Why is it so hard to locate a lost pet in this town ? The pictures of animals in the shelter are poor, and they don’t tell you where the animal was picked up. The descriptions of the animals are useless.
