Good going, Wichita City Council and city manager. Glad to see you back down from raising the water rates for those who use large amounts of water. As everyone with common sense knows, green grass and a full swimming pool are far more important than a glass of water to drink.
How will all the 16-year-old cashiers at Dillons be able to check out my liquor when they currently struggle to find someone of age to check out my light beer?
Sen. Dianne Feinstein is showing her age in her complaints against Sen. Ted Cruz. It’s one things to “know.” It’s an entirely different thing to wisely take action.
I read an AP article about Obama’s trip to Israel saying the president was “plunging into the roiling waters” of the Middle East. The ancient land of Abraham, Solomon and David need not fear. Obama will calm those waters, maybe even part them, with the simple wave of his hand.

House Speaker John Boehner keeps saying that spending is the problem.. How long has he been in Congress? If looking for the problem, people like him should look in the mirror.

I know there was a “reason” for establishing daylight saving time decades ago, but said “reason” no longer exists. God gives us so many hours of daylight, depending upon the season and weather conditions. We cannot change that by moving around the hands of our clocks.
That was an excellent column by Suzanne Perez Tobias regarding etiquette and manners (March 14 WichiTalk). Today with people’s phones, they are just too self-absorbed to display good manners and too thoughtless to be ashamed of their self-centered behavior.
