Innovation isn’t everyone’s cup of tea.

Innovation isn’t everyone’s cup of tea.

If the Kansas Turnpike Authority and Kansas Department of Transportation merge, then the KTA should be able to make all interstate highways and improved highways into toll roads. Do I want it to happen? No, but then the merger shouldn’t happen either.

The way the wind howled around my house recently, I find it hard to believe that harnessing this energy is bad for our country.

Canceling military flyovers and White House tours is the president’s way of making sure sequestration is on display for the public. It’s all part of his political game to bend public opinion his way when, in reality, there are so many other things that could be cut.

Funny how the GOP is politicizing the decision to suspend White House tours for awhile. Where is its outrage regarding the cuts to programs that affect the most vulnerable in our country? Last I heard, no one died or went hungry from not having access to the White House.

Are North Korean leaders so dumb they don’t realize we had an election four years ago, or did the media and progressives lie that George Bush was the reason the world hates us?

I will be supportive of the universal health care effort when folks are required to be their own primary care advocate.

If you hate all government programs, there are lots of worthy charities to which you can donate your Social Security check when you retire. And I expect you to reject any Medicare help when your health fails.

A lot of the goods that we buy are so expensive because of the cost of fuel to transport them. I live across from a railroad track and saw a train parked over there running for more than 36 hours. Makes you wonder.

I wonder if Kris Kobach was concerned about voter fraud at the Vatican. I doubt that many of the cardinals have valid driver’s licenses.

Participating in a gun buyback because you believe that the criminals have too many guns is like having yourself castrated because you believe that the neighbors have too many kids.

If not for junk mail, we wouldn’t need a U.S. Postal Service.

If it were up to me, basketball, auto racing, soccer and golf would be banned from TV. They are all boring.
