Why is everyone so disappointed that Francis I won’t be supporting abortion and gay marriage? I hate to break it to you all, but the pope is Catholic.
The new pope lived in a small apartment, cooked his own meals and rode the bus. I can think of a couple of well-known people in this country who need to take lessons from Francis I. Any guesses as to who?
Congress could learn something from the selection process of the pope. Gather all congressmen, listen to others’ opinions, honor those who may think differently, and make a decision that includes the needs of all the people.
I wonder how many newborns will be named Jorge Mario this year.
Thanks to the College of Cardinals, we now have the first pope from the Americas, the first Jesuit pope and the first pope who shares his name with a famous talking mule.
Great – now, instead of our Legislature dealing with the important matters of state government, it will busy itself with the selection of judges, grossly politicizing the process.
All those people who will be moving to Kansas because of our low income taxes will be in for a shock when they find that property taxes are out of sight.
If you can’t afford a home mortgage at today’s rates without a state tax deduction, then you shouldn’t be buying a home.
Why does the governor waste my money collecting facts if all his decisions are based on faith? He’s brought his Bush league Washington politics to Kansas. No, thanks.
After college, my kids ended up with jobs and spouses in other states. Now that Gov. Sam Brownback is rigging the courts and starving the state of services, I see they made the right call. So I’ll be leaving too when I retire.
The USA should be divided into three countries: one from the Mississippi to the East Coast, one from the Colorado Rockies to the West Coast, and one with the Midwest all to itself so the liberals leave us alone.
I am still waiting for all of the trade we are going to do with Africa, after the little vacation the mayor and his buddies went on at our expense.
Is any one else hearing the streets saying, “Please, please fix us”? Since the snows, they are bad.
