I favor drug and alcohol testing at least twice a year for all those who receive food and rent assistance, but only if they are unemployed. How to pay for it? Our rich should set up a fund that they regularly donate to.
For all the people who complain about the snow-removal process in Wichita: There are places in America where it doesn’t snow.
To the individual who said no one watches the cancellation ticker: We love it. We watch it. We wait for it. It’s the best part of television.
The cancellation ticker is very much appreciated by many who do not have access to “the Web.” I am one who has access but possesses the wisdom to know it’s not “all about me.”
I know this will be hard to believe, but not all of us have computers at home, so I appreciate the ticker at the bottom of the screen.
I’m thinking the recent snow could help us find footprints of Bigfoot. Then again, I think I have entirely too much time on my hands.
Los Angeles just finished a project that was started to prepare for the 1984 Olympics. Government in action. Let’s have government run our health care. Not.
Does our president really believe that a 3 percent reduction in government spending is going to result in massive layoffs? It is fearmongering on steroids. His addiction to spending our money has no bounds.
If the sequester goes through, national parks funding will be cut by $138 million while big oil will continue getting billions in handouts, unless Congress acts by March 1. Which would you cut?
So President Obama is the most unconstitutional president in history? How about your buddy George W Bush? He did massive wiretaps of American citizens without any court order, orchestrated a massive attack on Iraq built on his lies, tortured prisoners in violation of international law. Need I go on?
I listen to NPR often, and “fair and balanced” it is not. I enjoy its programs, but it is left of center. I also listen to Rush Limbaugh and Glenn Beck and would never claim they are fair or balanced, but at least they monetarily earn their positions on the airwaves.
I am glad the Opinion Line was not dubbed the “information” or “entertainment” line when it began. I’ve had bouts with diarrhea that were more informative and entertaining.
