Anyone who has been in the Senate for less than three months has a lot to learn. If only Ted Cruz would do more listening than talking for a few months. Obviously he is there to make a national name for himself, not to become an advocate for the people in Texas.
If the impending sequester causes McConnell Air Force Base and other military bases to reduce activity, their presence could be deemed nonessential and eliminated. That’s just business. It’s time for Kansas representatives to consider their state’s future.
President Obama is a loose cannon. He’s wrecking the nation’s financial base, and there’s nothing we can do about it. Tell me again how much my vote means.
Obama said he wanted a balanced approach to taxes and spending cuts two months ago. Then when he got his massive tax increase, he said no to any meaningful cuts. Now he claims he wants a balanced approach again. Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice? Not going to happen.
Based on what I see in Opinion Line regarding Gov. Sam Brownback’s efforts to stabilize and improve the state’s economy, many will be unhappy if someone in authority gets enough nerve to take on the national problem. If you think things are bad in Greece, wait until we try cutting spending here.
Large retailers wouldn’t be seeking to sell liquor unless these retailers knew they could run the mom-and-pop liquor stores out of business.
Liquor stores have never been allowed to sell ice, let alone groceries. Leave it be. Someone in the Statehouse must have a relative who owns a grocery store.
Are the clowns running the circus? Brownback used erroneous numbers, off by billions of dollars, for months without realizing they were wrong. Should we trust him to change our entire tax structure?
The majority of Americans who belong to a church are Catholic. The majority of them don’t care who the next pope is. They know they will get more of the same.
The parks, streets and creeks are full of water, beer and pop containers. Could we please have a deposit on these so at least some money is available to pick up and dispose of them?
Is it too late to change the new Monopoly piece? It’s obvious it should be an assault gun. It is the only thing today’s Americans want.
