If President Obama wants to get something done with Congress, why doesn’t he drive over there and work with lawmakers? No, he flies in Air Force One, burning up an oil field of fuel to talk to a group about the need for green energy. Ironic.
Only conservatives could be threatened by the expansion of early childhood education. Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal was right: The GOP is the “stupid party.”
We are witnessing the out-of-control government our Founding Fathers warned us about.
We keep hearing about a divided Republican Party. But take a look at the Democratic Party, which does not exist anymore. It has been completely taken over by socialists and just hasn’t changed its name.
Why do we worship politicians? They are elected to “serve,” but they have made themselves the master of the populace, not the servants. God help us.
After landing in a couple of places on Earth, the Martian spaceship reported back to Mars, saying it could find no evidence of intelligent life in Washington, D.C., or Topeka, Kan.
If the Keystone XL pipeline is such a great deal for us, as all the Canadian promoters are saying, then why aren’t they promoting it to go across Canada to keep all those jobs and money in their home country? Is Canada so well-off that it doesn’t need these benefits?
Age discrimination is alive and well in Wichita. I applied for a job recently and was asked on the application when I graduated from high school. Gee, I wonder why they wanted that information. Another application asked for my age. It’s blatant in this town.
Since Kansans for Life is so concerned about neighborhoods, maybe it will pick up some trash and fix potholes in mine.
I think we need to move the Kansas Turnpike out west along the Colorado border. That way the rest of the state can get the rain that seems to always be southeast of the Kansas Turnpike.
I remember the days when truck drivers were the best and most courteous drivers on the highways. That is not the case today. It is no wonder truck drivers are involved in so many highway accidents.
Why can’t people in Wichita keep to the right when walking down hallways, sidewalks, aisles and going through doorways?
