So American Airlines and US Airways are merging and will use the American name. I believe American Airlines forfeited the right to the name American when it purchased its first Airbus.
Why would the Legislature put restraints on pat-downs? You whiners should realize that you have to deal with some inconvenience to fly. There’s high security for a reason. Deal with it.
I recently went to Israel, and had many security checks that Americans would consider to be extraordinary, unusual, excessive. But Israel has never had a Sept. 11. I was actually thankful that they were that careful and took an extra hour and a half with us.
Do Kansas Republicans realize what their governor is doing to erode the quality of life for Kansas, or are they like Nero fiddling while Rome burns?

If I could spend an extra week on a cruise ship in the western Caribbean in February, I could put up with no air conditioning or working toilets.
I was trying to figure out why the Department of Homeland Security needed to buy 1.6 billion rounds of ammunition. I then realized no one in our federal government knows what a million is anymore, so they order and spend in the billions or trillions.
Now global warming makes sense. It’s from all the hot air coming from the Republicans in Washington and their ridiculous filibuster against Chuck Hagel’s nomination to be defense secretary. When will they grow up and stop acting like spoiled children?
According to Sen. Marco Rubio and other Republicans, entitlements need to be cut drastically – except when they benefit their own families, as Medicare has his parents. How about starting with eliminating freebies to the oil companies?
Some claim that if we raise the minimum wage, prices will go up. Does that mean that if we keep the minimum wage as is, prices shouldn’t go up? And if we lower the minimum wage, prices will go down? Why don’t we eliminate all wages and see what happens?
I thought the minimum wage was supposed to be reserved for high school kids who still live with their parents.
Want a job? Get the government out of the way. When kids in some places can’t even sell lemonade, government is too intrusive and restrictive.
If government schemes to stimulate the economy work, why not spend 10 times as much and grow the economy tenfold? President Obama has utterly failed and is pulling us all down. He has still not learned that economic reality is the ultimate truth.
“Republican” must be Latin for “fiscally irresponsible.”
