A letter writer blamed gun violence on those who ignore Judeo-Christian principles. But George Tiller, a man who embraced Judeo-Christian principles, was gunned down in church by someone who believed he was doing the Lord’s work. Please don’t hide behind the false sense that being a Christian will solve the gun issue.
There must be cause for searches. It is a clear violation of your Fourth Amendment rights to be forced to submit to drug testing for employment, access to public assistance or to play sports in high school. Come on, tea partiers, what about your freedom?
Banning campaign donations from outside a representative’s district will serve our government better than banning union paycheck deductions.

Wise up. No businesses will come here when our state public education system is destroyed by harassing teachers into leaving the profession. Why not develop plans to keep our best Kansas teachers? Then we won’t have to import them from foreign countries.

I have to admit that before the pickup commercial about farmers during the Super Bowl, I didn’t realize that all farmers are white males.

The person who believes First and Second streets (with the bike lanes) are two-lane streets needs to talk to a police officer. Those two streets are just like Edgemoor from Kellogg north to Central. All three are one lane.
