Is the new Kansas Legislature really conservative? The supreme test will be whether it repeals the smoking ban, which is such a slap in the face to the free marketplace.
Gov. Sam Brownback won’t be satisfied until he has a totally stacked deck, including appointing all the judges.
Brownback assured us that KanCare would learn from the problems experienced by other states in moving Medicaid recipients to for-profit insurance companies. KanCare is three weeks old, and I have decided Brownback and his associates must be very slow learners.

Hillary Clinton pounded her fist and lashed out at senators during the hearings on the Benghazi debacle. The 2016 presidential race has begun.
Republican lawmakers had hoped to derail Clinton’s 2016 aspirations with their Benghazi investigation, but each question instead exposed their petty nature and presented the secretary with the perfect platform on which to prove herself presidential.
President Obama’s remaining campaign apparatus has relaunched as a tax-exempt group to support his second-term agenda. Tax-exempt? What about everyone paying his “fair share”?
The mainstream media’s performance during the inauguration ends any doubt that they are the Democratic Party. The media dropped any pretense of being independent, objective purveyors of news.
I want to thank The Eagle for Davis Merritt’s commentaries. He always seems to express my own opinions in a somewhat more eloquent way than I might. He must be the smartest guy in Kansas.
Thank you wholeheartedly to all the volunteers at the Starbird-Devlin Rod and Customs Charities Car Show at Century II. Your contribution will make a positive change in the lives of many in our local community.
I am devastated. I just learned that my online girlfriend has been cheating on me with a famous football player.
