So dairy farmers are like grain farmers – subsidized. Is there anything in this country that the government does not have to kick in money to help?

We have a government of the least capable elected by the least productive. Those who won’t sustain themselves are rewarded with things the government has taken from a diminishing number of producers.

When our dollar becomes nearly worthless from our massive government spending and borrowing, should we replace Washington with Obama on the dollar bill?

The American people will never knowingly adopt socialism. But under the name of “liberalism” they will adopt every fragment of the socialist program, until one day America will be a socialist nation without knowing how it happened.

The House has failed to act on the Violence Against Women Act because Republicans consider it too supportive of immigrants, Native Americans and the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender community. It seems the GOP has missed the message of the 2012 election, when women voted in the majority Democratic.

The continual clamor against Kris Kobach is the unreasonable griping of a few trying to make a simple legal issue into a storm. Only citizens have the right to vote. In today’s culture, unlike the past, not everyone walking our streets is a citizen. Noncitizens’ agendas must be stopped.

I thought gun owners were proud of their guns and liked potential burglars knowing there were guns in the house. So what’s wrong with listing gun owners’ names in a newspaper?

All the gun-control fanatics out there should talk to our troops returning from war zones about how they feel about taking away the rights they fought and died for.

There are many gun laws. Too often, charges involving crimes are bargained down by unscrupulous defense lawyers. That option should be eliminated. Mandatory time in a gun crime should be unconditional. Let’s enforce current law.

Who would think a voluntary gun buyback initiated by the city or state would get criminals to turn in their guns? Do some of you people even think about what you are saying?

I’d like to have a fast-forward option at the east-side Warren Theatres to skip the Oscar’s Lounge commercial.

The seat-belt warning bell in my truck would be a whole lot more fun if it would ding in time to the music.
