I love the so-called Christians in this state. They show their love of Christ by spewing hate and malice toward Muslims and atheists like it is ordained by God to do so. They really support the U.S. Constitution in freedom of and freedom from religion.
It is amazing how many people complain about others who don’t follow their religious beliefs in a country created so that everyone can practice the religion of their choice.
Never miss a local story.
You don’t need religion to have morals. If you can’t determine right from wrong, you lack empathy, not religion.
God was the first one to call atheists fools: “The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God. They are corrupt, they have done abominable works, there is none that doeth good.” (Psalm 14:1)
Tim Huelskamp didn’t get fired from two committees for his beliefs. He was fired because he’s a lousy congressman. Kansas deserves much better.
Bob Dole was a wounded World War II hero, and to lie to him was a disgrace and embarrassment to Kansas. Sens. Pat Roberts and Jerry Moran will never get my vote again. We should run them out of office.
An intoxicated professional football player allegedly uses his car to tragically kill his teammate passenger. It is time to ban automobiles in this country, because people don’t kill people, cars do.
Many Eagle letter writers and Opinion Line contributors bash Republicans in Congress about the “fiscal cliff” and “low taxes for the rich,” but never give data about percentages and tax brackets. Meanwhile, our spender-in-chief flies around in his expensive taxpayer-provided jet, and otherwise sits on his hands.
While reading the Opinion Line, if I come across the words “liberal,” “conservative,” “Republican,” “Democrat,” “Obama,” “Obamacare,” “Romney,” “atheist,” “Christian,” “1 percent,” “47 percent,” “99 percent,” “election” or “taxes,” I skip to the next one down. I haven’t had much to read lately.
The question I ask myself every time I read the Opinion Line is: Have people changed or have I always been surrounded by insanity?
To the driver who had gone many years in Wichita without getting a speeding ticket and then got two: All that tells us is that you habitually speed, and finally your luck ran out.
Probably the reason for the “speed trap” at Meridian and 47th Street South was because people were speeding – hence the reason tickets were given.
